Global Humanitarian Overview 2024
Conflicts, climate change, and economic instability are driving a severe humanitarian crisis in 2024. Sudan’s needs have doubled to 30 million, while 258 million globally face acute hunger. Climate disasters, including El Niño effects, worsen displacement and food insecurity. Over 45 million children are malnourished, and disease outbreaks spread in overcrowded areas. With 36.4 million refugees worldwide, urgent global action is needed to address this escalating crisis.
